A raw intense vision of Egypt in 33BC, set in the sprawling deserts and ancient mud towns, Assassins plot to overthrow a young emperor. Shot over Moroccan locations and built sets at Atlas film studios of an Embalming room, an Egyptian nobleman’s bath, a General’s bedroom, and the chambers and terrace of the Young King’s Palace for a surreal scene featuring white Ostrich, and 100's of parakeets flying around as the town outside explodes in flames and the palace is stormed. Extensive use of traditional Morrocan craft including plaster carving and moulding to create the authentic columns, and frieze decoration, and tadlac polished plaster floors.
